When I think of April, I think of the mesmerizing beauty and buoyancy of tulip flowers. During the Ottoman Empire, tulips represented “paradise on earth.” If you ever get the chance to sit in a field of tulips, I think you’ll agree.
In this newsletter I talk about the Extraordinary Girdling vessel and its connection to ancestry and survival, why I love carrots and a community art lab event this weekend.

3 Reasons Why I Love Carrots

01. They are sweet and neutral
All food has an energetic property that influences the body. Carrots are neither cold nor hot so they are harmonizing and suit most people.
02. Falcarinol and Turpenes
These compounds are rich inside carrot skin and have shown to have strong anticancer, anti-inflammatory, anti fungal and antioxidant properties.
03. Metabolic & Hormone Support
The fiber slows down sugar absorption and binds to excess estrogen in the body. It is rich in beta-carotene which is converted into vitamin A; an essential for hormone production and ovarian health. Carrots also support healthy liver function which is necessary for digestion, metabolism and detoxification.
